The Department of Biotechnology was founded with a visionary objective: to pioneer breakthroughs in biotechnology education and research, thereby elevating life sciences into a leading-edge precision tool for the future. Our foremost duty is to establish exemplary standards in both teaching and research, leveraging modern tools and technologies to inspire students to explore new frontiers of scientific knowledge and embrace diverse career opportunities in Biotechnology. In addition to rigorous academic curricula,students benefit from immersive experiences such as visits to research institutes, excursions, and industrial tours. They also engage in specialized in-plant training, genetic engineering, and immunological work within various industries. We foster a culture of research by encouraging students to undertake projects, dissertations, and summer training programs that ignite their passion for discovery and innovation. Through these initiatives, we strive to empower the next generation of biotechnologists to make meaningful contributions to society.

DBT STAR SCHEME

DBT has selected S. S. Jain Subodh P.G College under the DBT Star Scheme to strengthen the academic and physical infrastructure for enhancing research, teaching, product-oriented projects, networking with neighboring institutes. This Scheme acts as a gateway and acts as a catalyst in igniting young minds towards research.

FIST SCHEME

The Scheme “Fund for Improvement of S &T Infrastructure (FIST)” is intended to provide basic infrastructure and enabling facilities for promoting R&D activities in new and emerging areas and attracting fresh talents in institutions and millennium initiative of DST for promoting research in STEM. S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College has been selected among the 16 colleges of India by Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India for the grant.The current emphasis on the immensely successful FIST programme is for orienting it towards the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat by providing accessibility of the R&D infrastructure facilities.
