Educational institutions play a vital role in shaping the character and behavior of youth in society serving as the soil where the seeds of social responsibility are sown. In recent times, when HIV/AIDS continues to affect millions worldwide, the role of educational institutions in disseminating accurate and essential information becomes increasingly significant. Established with this aim, RRC of the college has been contributing commendably and has therefore been rewarded with the sanctioning of six units by the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society. From seminars and workshops to awareness drives and campaigns, the club leaves no stone unturned in its quest to educate and enlighten, paving the way for a future where knowledge serves as the ultimate weapon against ignorance and disease.
- The Red Ribbon Club organized an awareness campaign to leverage the role of digital platforms in spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS in collaboration with the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society on August 4, 2023. Staff members and students were encouraged to support the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Rajasthan SACS social media pages by joining, clicking like, and following their pages through a provided link.
- On August 29, 2023, an Orientation Programme was organized by the Red Ribbon Club with an aim to motivate students for voluntary enrollment in the RRC. Ms. Garima Bhati from Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society gave the students a comprehensive introduction to the RRC and highlighted the club's crucial role in raising awareness about HIV/AIDS.
- The Red Ribbon Club organised a CPR training program on September 1, 2023, aimed at equipping students with life-saving skills. Dr. Swati Soni from Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital led the session. More than 300 students participated enthusiastically in the program.
- The Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society, hosted a 5 km 'Red Run Marathon Competition' on September 10, 2023. Principal Prof. K.B. Sharma flagged off the marathon, which carried the tagline "A Run for Happiness, Peace & Equality". A total of 165 students participated in the marathon, with seven students qualifying and being selected for the State-level marathon.
- Students from RRC Club, participated in the 5 km State-level Red Run Competition in Udaipur on September 21, 2023. Avinash Gupta and Praveen Kumar Choudhary, displayed outstanding performance by securing the first and third positions, respectively, in the Boys' category. Ms. Jyoti Kanwar secured the second position in the Girls' category. Their exceptional achievements earned them a spot in Team Rajasthan for the 10 km National level Red Run Competition held in Goa on October 8, 2023.
- The Club organized a drama competition titled "Abhivyakti: The Red Show" on October 5, 2023, under the guidance of the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society and the National AIDS Control Organization, New Delhi. The winner team, "Whispers of Resilience: Facing AIDS," was selected to represent the college at the State-level competition held on December 20, 2023, at S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. Girls College, Sanganer.
- In collaboration with the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society, the Club organized a "Rock the Reel" competition on November 29, 2023 to raise awareness about HIV prevention through social media platform. Fifty participants created short videos out of which the winners were short listed for district level rounds.
- On December 1, 2023, the Red Ribbon Club orchestrated a flash mob activity at City Pulse Mall. The event featured a motivational dance and act performed by the students of the Club. Dr. Sushil Parmar, Project Director, and Dr. Pradeep Chaudhary, Joint Direc or IEC, along with Ms. Garima Bhati, Assistant Director Youth Affairs, graced the occasion.
- On December 5, 2023, the club commemorated World AIDS Day with an awareness campaign titled SPARSH, signifying 'touch' and highlighting the power of human connection and compassion in combating HIV/AIDS. The campaign, themed 'Let Communities Lead,' aimed to promote understanding, support and empathy. Various competitions including Debate, Poster Making, Rangoli, and Face Painting were organized, attracting enthusiastic participation from 150 students.
- Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society selected the RRC of our college for organizing a national-level quiz competition. The event, took place on January 12, 2024, at the Rajasthan International Center, Jaipur. State-level winning teams from various regions participated in the competition. All unit incharges of the RRC, along with their volunteers ensured the smooth conduct of the competition.
