Department of Computer Science

Since its inception the department aims to produce versatile students ready for employment in Industry/Government Sector or for Higher Education/Entrepreneurship. The department is offering Post Graduate courses in Computer Science Via Master of Computer Application (MCA), Master of Science in Information Technology (M. Sc. - IT), Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) and an undergraduate course, Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and B.Sc. Computer Science. Simultaneously, the department also imparts the elementary computer application course for B.Sc., B.Com. and B.A. To support and conduct academic and industrial research, Department of Computer Science has a research centre offering Doctor of Philosophy, with affiliation from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.
The department has eight computer laboratories facilitated with a state-of-the-art infrastructure of more than 350 computers and an up to date set up in terms of hardware and software. The computer systems are enabled with 12th generation Core i7 and iS processors and different software pertaining to specific courses. All the computer systems in various labs are centrally interconnected, protected and managed by central server aptly secured by UTM Firewall. The centre is heavily configured with IBM Series High Volume Rack X3630 M4 Intel® Xeon CPU E52420 1.90 GHz (2 Processor) 32 GB RAM, 1 TB Hard Disk Drive with RAID 5 and Dell EMC R550 Rack Server Intel ® Xeon Silver 4310 CPU @2.10 GHz (2 Processors), 128 GB RAM, 1TBX4 = 4TB SSD Storage RAID-6 Servers. The department provides internet connectivity through Wi-Fi to students and faculty members. The departmental library is enriched with 10592 computer related books, managed through library software. The department has high speed leased line internet connection of 100 Mbps which provides high speed data to the students, faculties and visitors.
