Conferences

  • A one-day inter college student seminar was organized on September 9, 2023, with the aim of paying tribute to the brave women who contributed to the Indian independence movement. Chief Guest Dr. Archana Sharma, Chairperson Social Welfare Board emphasized that Indian brave women had left an indelible mark on the world stage during the struggle for independence. The contributions made by these brave individuals were also highlighted during the poster unveiling ceremony. 250 students from various colleges registered for the seminar and showcased their talents through photography, paper presentations, street plays and poetry competitions.
  • Department of EAFM organised the National G20 summit themed "Empowering Youth for Global Prosperity: G20's Vision for the Future" on September 23, 2023. The program was graced with the presence of Shri Avinash Rai Khanna, former member of Parliament in both Loksabha and Rajyasabha as chief guest; Dr. Arun Chaturvedi, former cabinet minister, Government of Rajasthan as presiding guest; Dr. Nimisha Gaur, Director, Samadhan Gram Bharat Foundation Jaipur as the key note speaker. Shri Khanna emphasized on India's rich diversity and its role in showcasing Indian culture and civilization to the world. Dr. Arun Chaturvedi explained the significance of India's chairmanship of G20, highlighting how it has elevated India's global standing. Dr. Nimisha Gaur underscored the G20 summit's theme emphasizing the concept of "Vasudhev Kutumbakam". The seminar witnessed the active participation of over 450 attendees from colleges across India. The top three presenters were felicitated with certificates, mementos and cash prizes.
  • College hosted a ground breaking National Conference titled "Synergy 2023: Emerging Trends and Innovations in Commerce & Management (SETICM) 2023" on December 20 and 21, 2023. The conference, held in a hybrid mode, attracted prominent figures, esteemed guests, scholars, and delegates from across the nation. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Hon'ble Chief Guest Prof. Alpana Kateja, Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur; Presiding Guest Prof. Bhagirath Singh Bijarnia, Former Vice Chancellor of Pandit Deendayal Upadhayaya Shekhawati University, Sikar; and Special Guest Prof. Padmashree Pattnaik, Joint Director (Academics), Department of College Education, Rajasthan, among others.
  • The National Conference on "Strengthening Actions Involving Communities for Cleaner Air and Better Future" was organised on March 19, 2024 in collaboration with TERI, CPCB, RSPCB, NEERI, and LIFE. The esteemed Chief Guest, Vasudev Devnani, Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, along with distinguished speakers such as Dr. Prashant Gargava, Keynote Speaker, and Shri Shravan Kumar Verma, Guest of Honor, graced the event. Dr. Vijay N. and Dr. Anju Goel also participated as Special Guests. With around 500 registrations from across the country, the conference aimed to address crucial issues related to air quality management and cultural dimensions.   • Under the aegis of Subodh Shiksha Samiti, a two days seminar "Subodhini-One Question-One Expert" was organised on July 21-22, 2023 for capacity enhancement of the faculty members. All the participant faculty memberspresented the questions and answers through the powerpoint presentations in a well defined pattern, mentioning the objective of the question, its probable answer, the references from which the answer has been derived and the way in which can be further improvised.
  • Department of Physics organized a seminar series - "Interact with Scientist" in association with the WeMR (We Mentor Research) on March 16, 2024, in hybrid mode. Eminent speakers included Dr. Abhishek Pathak, Particle Accelerator Physicist and an expert in machine learning, Research Associate at Fermi National Accelerator Lab, Chicago USA, and associated with DESY, Brandenburg, Germany. This event proved to be a resounding success, drawing attention to the field of Nuclear Physics. It not only showcased the department's dedication to scientific outreach but also underscored the remarkable achievements of Indian scientists in the field. Overall, the event significantly advanced knowledge and promoted diversity within the scientific community.

Workshop

  • Department of English organized a one day workshop on "Research Methodology" followed by interactive session on December 13, 2023 for UG and PG students. Thirty students explained their chosen texts with Power Point Presentations and answered the queries. History of English Literature, Poems, Novels and Figures of Speech were discussed. The activity aimed at improving communication and interpretative skills of the learners. The nuances of presentation skills were also shared by the faculty members at the end of the session.
  • Department of Sanskrit in collaboration with Sanskrit Bharati, Jaipur Metropolitan unit organized a nine day Sanskrit conversation camp from October 13- 21, 2023. On the occasion of the valedictory ceremony of the camp, a special lecture on the topic "Adhunik Samay Mein Sanskrit ki Aavashyakta". was deliveed by the special speaker Dr. Dambrudharpati, Assistant Professor, Central Sanskrit University, Jaipur. The chief guest Dr. Kailash Chandra Sharma, Head of Astrology Department and Executive Council member, Jagadguru Ramanandcharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University in his lecture, described "Devbhasha" as essential for life. Dr. Kamal Kishore Chotia, Head, Geeta Teaching Center, Sanskrit Bharati, Jaipur highlighted the liveliness of Sanskrit.
  • The Department of Chemistry organised a one day Workshop on "Innovatory Experiments and Basic Techniques in Chemistry" on February 19, 2024. About 150 students registered for the event. The resource persons for the workshop were Dr. Jyoti Jain and Dr Amit Sharma, Department of Chemistry, Gyan Vihar University iments on distillation, detection of functional groups, crystallization, sublimation and UV visible etc participated enthusiastically in all activites.
  • On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Department of Psychology organized a panel discussion on "Mental Health is a Universal Human Right". Dr. Sumit Gakhar, psychiatrist from Narayana Hrudalaya and Ms. Sonal Khangarot, Psychotherapist enlightened the students and faculty about various mental health issues and means of getting an access to various aids.
  • The Department of English organized a one day workshop on "Communication Skills" on March 6, 2024. Ms. Krishna Priya Harsh, a noted communicator and corporate anchor was the resource person of the workshop. The workshop covered the technique of channelizing our thoughts for improved and effective communication. She motivated students to overcome their stage fear and conquer the art of public speaking. The event concluded with poster making competition. More than hundred students benefitted from the workshop.
  • The Department of Computer Science, organized a five days workshop on Data-Science for MCA, BCA, M. Sc. IT and PGDCA students from August 4-8, 2024. Mr. Tarun Gogai, Data Science Analyst, from Learn and Build Private Limited was the key note speaker. He nicely explained about data science and its applications.
  • A workshop on "Combating Human Trafficking and Understanding Bonded Labour" was organized on May 6, 2023 in which Dr. Rajeev Bagarhatta, Principal, S.M.S. Medical College, Jaipur released the book "Well Played-From Here to Eternity" authored by him.
  • A one-day workshop on MATLAB was conducted on November 4, 2023, by Department of Mathematics to impart the knowledge to the students and faculties with use of a high-level programming language. Er. Manoj Kumar, Sr. Application Engineer, Design Tech Systems Pvt. Ltd was the keynote speaker.
  • One day workshop on "Full Stack Development Technology" was organized on March 2, 2024. The speaker was Mr. Shubham Jain, Grass Solutions, Jaipur who briefed students about job opportunities in the respective field. Another one day Workshop on "Full Stack Technology" was organized on March 14, 2024 The speaker was Mr. Aditya Dhanraj, Co- Founder, A2 Technosoft Pvt. Ltd.

Guest Lectures

  • Department of Computer Science organized a guest lecture on "Sales Force" on July 6, 2023 by Mr. Atul Mohan Chaturvedi, Senior Programmer, Driftpoint Pvt. Ltd. He explained that Sales-force management systems are information systems used in customer relationship management, marketing and management that help automate some sales and sales force management functions.
  • On October 11, 2023, the Department of Physics organized a guest lecture by Retired Prof. P. Nagaraju from National College, Bengaluru. He is actively involved in bringing the interest of students in Physics at the forefront. He discussed on the topic "Science of Climate Change"and elaborated the changes happening around the world in weather conditions as well as on volcano eruptions and temperature modifications.
  • A lecture on "Wave Particle Duality - Misconception at Quantum Level" was organized on February 12, 2024 by Mr. Yogesh Burdak. He too suggested students to religiously attend the laboratories as it opens minds for innovative thinking.
  • On November 9, 2023, Department of Physics organized a seminar series titled "Interact with Scientist" in a virtual mode, in collaboration with WeMR (We Mentor Research). The event featured Dr. Amit Roy, a distinguished scientist renowned for his contributions to experimental nuclear physics. through the lecture Roy's expertise in Nuclear Physics was showcased through the leacture titled "What, Why, and How of Nuclear Physics," which inspired students towards academic excellence and research pursuits in the field.
  • Department of Computer Science organized a guest lecture on "Career Opportunities in IT" on September 30, 2023 for BCA & MCA students. The speaker was Mr. Raghevendra Raghuvanshi, from Biz4 Group, Jaipur. He discussed career opportunities in Graphics, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Software Testing, Business Development, Digital Marketing and Hardware Networking in details and explained the job opportunities in these fields.
  • Department of Physics organized an interactive lecture on December 23, 2023 on "Science & Research". The lecture was delivered by Dr. Praveen Kumar Yadav, Scientist [F], DAE, RRCAT Indore. Faculty members and students attended the lecture. Few of the students were shortlisted for doing their projects at RRCAT, Indore.
  • Department of Physics in collaboration with WeMR (We Mentor Research) jointly organized a lecture featuring Dr. Gargi Shaw, a prominent woman scientist, on the interesting topic "Unveiling the Secrets of Universe" on March 7, 2024. The event aimed to foster scientific curiosity, engage the community, and provide insights into cutting-edge research in the field of astrophysics.
  • Department of Hindi organised a guest lecture on Hindi Diwas on September 14, 2023.The keynote speaker was Prof. Nand Kishore Pandey, Dean, Humanities & Director, Research, University of Rajasthan expressed his views on the topic "Indian Languages in NEP 2020" and emphasized the fact that Hindi language is globally recognized in today's modern world.
  • The Department of English organized a guest lecture on the topic "Life Skills and Personality" on September 30, 2023. The speaker of this lecture was Mr. Rasik Raman Das, a renowned monk, life coach and author who talked about the importance of life skills, soft skills and other related aspects in the making of any personality.
  • The Department of Political Science organized a guest lecture on "Uniform Civil Code" on February 12, 2024. The main speaker was Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Ragi from Delhi University. The chief guest of the program was Mr. Ramcharan Bohra, MP, Jaipur. Professor Ragi explained the Uniform Civil Code as a law related to social matters that applies equally to people of all religions in matters such as marriage, divorce, etc. and is above any private laws of religion and caste.
  • The Department of Economics organised a guest lecture on "Viksit Bharat@2047: Propelling India towards Developed Economy" by Prof. Meeta Mathur, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur on February 29, 2024 with a core objective to foster inclusive economic participation among all citizens.
  • The Department of Political Science organized a lecture on "Geo-Political Situation Concerning India" on March 1, 2024. The distinguished guests included Sh. Jhabar Singh Kharra, Minister of State, Independent Charge Urban Development and Self- Governance Department, Govt. of Rajasthan, and defence expert and TV personality, Colonel R.S.N. Singh. Sh. Sumer Singh Ji Bothra, Honorable Secretary, Subodh Shiksha Samiti, graced the occasion. During the event, Sh. Kharra emphasized the significance of moral values in bolstering the civic power of our nation. He traced India's historical commitment to protecting common interests, dating back to Emperor Ashoka's era, which has solidified its position as a global leader with religious sovereignty. The keynote speaker highlighted the challenges India has faced. Colonel Singh elaborated on topics like the Indo-Pacific Circle, G20 conference, and covert footprint diplomacy.
  • Department of Sanskrit organized a guest lecture on March 5, 2024 on the topic "Bhartiya Jyotish Evam Manovigyan". Prof Vinod Shastri, former Vice Chancellor, Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University, Jaipur while expressing his views on the topic explained how Astrology being a scientific and authentic science can be helpful in successful prevention of various mental problems.
  • Department of EAFM organized a guest lecture on February 27, 2024, in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India and conducted by RBI official Mr Dinesh Yadav and Mr. Rajaram Bairwa. They gave a valuable insight into financial management, stressing the importance of informed decision- making to achieve financial objectives.
  • A lecture on "Excellence in academic administration through spirituality and Management of Stress in Education" organized by Brahma Kumari Prajapita Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya on August 8, 2023. In this lecture, Rajyogini Poonam Didi explained how spirituality and meditation can bring excellence in educational administration.
  • Motivational lecture on "IQ vs EQ" was given by Mr. Mandeep Singh Sehmbi, from Chitkara University, Punjab on February 22, 2024.He stated that IQ and EQ are two types of intelligence that measure different aspects of human cognition and emotion.
  • A meditation cum Motivational lecture was organized on "Seed Mantras and Healing Therapies"on March 20, 2024 by Ms. Megha Sharma, a renowned grand spiritual leader, astrologer, and a psychologist. She expressed her knowledge on seven chakras of body. She also discussed about how to deal with stress and cure it without taking allopathic treatments.

Educational & Industrial Visit & Extension Activities

  • The Department of English, along with students visited to Jaipur Literature Festival from February 1- 5, 2024 at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur. It featured a plethora of literary sessions spanning various genres including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, history, politics, and more. From Nobel laureates to emerging writers, the festival provided a platform for diverse voices to be heard. Book signings and author meet-and-greet sessions allowed attendees to engage directly with their favorite writers, fostering a sense of connection between creators and their audience.
  • An Industrial visit to Clay Craft India Ltd., V.K.I., Jaipur was organized by Department of Chemistry on September 30, 2023 for the B.Sc. students. Students learnt about the various process of manufacturing of Bone China Crockery as it comprises of 8 main steps--clay making, mould making & foaming, biscuit firing, glazing, glaze firing or ghost firing, decorating and packing.
  • The Department of English organized an extension activity on September 26, 2023 where the students of M.A. visited the Central Library, University of Rajasthan and got to know about various renowned and new authors and their writing skills through different publications.
  • Students of College of Arts and Science, Chennai on September 29, 2023 the visit unfolded with a series of engaging student interaction activities, carefully designed to encourage meaningful exchanges, and foster a sense of camaraderie among the visiting and hosting students. A highlight of the event was the captivating 'Nukkad Natak' performance, a street play, executed by dedicated social work students.
  • Department of Microbiology organized an extension activity on December 12, 2023 to Jeevan Mushroom Pvt. Ltd. - a mushroom cultivation laboratory and research centre, Dantli, Jagatpura, where students learnt about the different techniques of preparation of mushroom spawn, cultivation bags and beds and about optimal conditions in cultivation rooms observed different varieties of mushroom such as Milky mushrooms, Button Mushrooms and Oyster mushrooms.
  • One day educational trip to ICAR - Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute (CSWRI), Avikanagar, Malpurawas organized for M.Sc. Biotechnology students on December 6, 2023. The students got an opportunity to visit different departments like rabbit and sheep keeping facilities, animal physiology and biochemistry, wool processing unit, and animal nutrition. They also gained information about future training and career prospects.
  • Department of Sociology organized a visit to Aashirvad Vradhasharam on November 4, 2023. The primary objective of the visit was to facilitate meaningful interaction between the elderly residents of Vradhashram and students. The goal was to promote social engagement, well-being, and create a memorable experience for all participants.
  • Department of Physics organized an educational visit for M.Sc. Physics students on March 15, 2023 to Material Research Centre (MRC), Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur. MRC Centre hosts a wide range of sophisticated materials characterization equipment's, to cater the needs of material research society. Students visited different labs in the centre like structural, morphological, microscopy, thin film deposition, chemical analysis, electrochemical, electrical measurement labs.
  • Department of Sociology organised a visit to Jaipur Gaushala, Durgapura and conducted Shramdaa nevent on February 28-29, 2024. The event aimed towards fostering a sense of social responsibility and community engagement among the students. Their commitment to the cause was evident in the way they actively participated in all activities, demonstrating a deep understanding of the importance.
  • Department of Botany organized an educational visit to International Institute of Advance Agriculture and Skill Development (IIASD) and Sunrise Forest and Medicinal Plants centre situated at Pinjarapole Gowshala, Sanganer on March 2, 2024 to enlighten the students regarding organic farming, vermicompost preparation, and cultivation of medicinal plants. Around 300 types of medicinal plants are cultivated there using cow dung. Dr. Atul Gupta, International Coordinator of the Cooperation Council taught the students about the cultivation of medicinal plants. Students were also taught the process of preparing vermi- compost.
  • The Department of Botany took an educational tour of Botanical Survey of India. Dr. S.L. Meena, Head, Botanical Survey of India, gave a lecture highlighting the classification system and binomial system for the identification of trees and plants. College provided an excellent opportunity to students to witness the glory of 10th IAPT NSSP 2023. The event took place from October 27-29, 2023 at Panjab University, Chandigarh. This event was an outstanding platform where students interacted with eminent Professors who threw light on various aspects of Physics. Event featured insightful addresses by prominent physicists, including Prof. Arvind discussing the India Quantum Mission. Participants engaged in discussions on topics like gravitational lensing, quantumcomputing, and visited labs.
  • The Department of Botany went for a Botanical Educational Trip to Jodhpur (National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, Botanical Survey of India, Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Arid Forest Research Institute of India) AFARI situated at Jodhpur on March 12, 2024. AFARI is one of the institutes of Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) working under the Ministry केन्द्रीय शुष्क क्षेत्र अनुसंधान संस्थान CENTRAL ARID ZONE RESEARCH INSTITUTE (Estd. 1959)
  • Department of Mathematics of Environment Forest Climate Change, Government of India. The visit enlightened the students regarding Forestry research, biodiversity conservation to maximize the productivity of hot arid and semi-arid vegetation of Rajasthan, Gujrat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli Union Territory.
  • The Department of Political Science organized an educational trip on July 7, 2023 to the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Governance and Social Sciences in Jaipur. During this visit, both faculty members and students had the opportunity to engage in a special lecture titled "Urban Poor and the Right to Work in Rajasthan," delivered by Prof.Ashwini from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
  • The Department of Botany visited NBPGR on March, 13, 2024, where Dr. Vijay Singh Meena, Director delivered presentation regarding the objects, aims and achievements of NBPGR, tissue culture variety of crops such as ber, cow pea, fenugreek and moringa.
  • The students of M.Sc. Botany visited CAZARI on March 13, 2024 in which Dr. Pradeep taught the students about greenhouse and poly house differences and conditions required for the preparation of crop biodiversity and the latest technologies in the field of agriculture.
  • The Department of Economics organised an educational visit on December 23, 2023 to Jawahar Kala Kendra focussing on the functioning of NABARD, working for the upliftment of rural people. The purpose of this visit was to provide an enriching experience to the students, offering them learning opportunities in India.
  • On March 12, 2024 students of M.Sc. botany visited Mehrangarh Fort. It was an educational visit having learning by watching collection of Mughal artworks, folk instruments, textiles, armors, furniture, costumes around the fort.
  • Department of History organized an educational trip to Jagat Shiromani Temple and Panna Meenaki Baori, Amer Jaipur on Feb 17, 2024 with post graduate students with the on-site lecture by departmental faculty to the students focussing about importance of these heritage site.
  • A visit to the literary program organized on the foundation day of Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur on April 8, 2023. It is based on Munshi Premchand's famous story 'Bade Bhai Saheb' which is about the education of elder brother and younger brother.The elder brother, despite studying a lot and working hard, fails again and again and the younger brother, despite being full of studies, sports and entertainment, passes with first class and moves on to the next class.
