Geography is multidisciplinary course that relates with various fields of Social Sciences, Sciences and Technology. The Department of Geography was established in 2006 with B.A., B.Sc. Programme, M.A., M.Sc. programme in 2009 and B.A. (Hons) in 2016. The Department has paved its way to modernization by embracing the G.P.S and Remote Sensing techniques and by including it in the course content of the syllabus. The Department has well equipped four laboratories, one is for surveying instruments, second is for World Atlas, Maps, Charts, Globe, Models etc. Third laboratory is well furnished and equipped with technologically advanced field survey instruments such as Total Station, Electronic Theodolite,Astronomical Telescope, G.P.S, Distance Meter, Weather Station, Pan Evaporator Meter, Topographical Sheets, Compass and other digital equipment's and fourth, embellished with Cartography equipment. Department of Geography has maintained the tradition of field survey and its course work has theoretical applications to the contemporary issues of the society and environment.
